Common questions
The camera shows a black screen — what’s happening?
That’s intentional. QuietCam uses a dark, minimal surface so the camera is less conspicuous while you shoot. Tap the screen to take a photo; press and hold to record video. You’ll feel a small haptic when each action registers.
I accidentally denied camera or microphone access.
Open the iOS Settings app, scroll down to QuietCam, and enable Camera and Microphone. Relaunch the App and you’re back in business.
How do I export a capture?
Open the capture from within QuietCam and use the export action. QuietCam will ask for permission to save to your Photos library the first time you try.
How do I cancel a subscription or request a refund?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they’re managed through your Apple ID. Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Refunds are handled by Apple under its standard refund policy.
Is my data uploaded to a server?
No. Your photos and videos stay on your device. See the privacy policy for what limited, anonymous information we do use (analytics and subscription validation).
I found a bug. What should I include?
The most useful reports include: device model, iOS version, App version (Settings → About inside QuietCam), a short description of what you did, and what you expected vs. what happened. If you can reproduce the issue, a numbered list of steps is gold.
